Today’s low oil and natural gas prices are evidence of the benefits of more energy production, with U.S. shale production being the main factor in today’s historically low prices. The beneficiary is the U.S. consumer, having more disposable income.

At a time when this is abundantly clear, the Obama administration has reversed its earlier decision to prepare Atlantic Ocean waters of the eastern U.S. for energy production in the future.
